It’s day 9. Can you believe it!? Our living room is another room I have drastically simplified due to it being very small. So today’s challenge to toss 25 items was really a challenge. I cleaned out the drawer in the one end table we have and I found 16 items to toss.
Old magazines that were read, baseball cards, a screw, pens that don’t work, odd puzzle pieces, etc.
These items are a prime example of how little things can pile up and cause clutter to take over the house. I always make it a point to declutter before the holidays and then again in the spring. I am positive I have said this before, when there is not a lot of clutter in a house the house tends to stay cleaner on its own. Cleaning also takes a lot less time when there is not a bunch of stuff you have to pick up and put away or dust.
What did you find to get rid of out of the living room? Did you find 25 items?
I can’t say enough about this course. It is an easy and fast way to get started decluttering. Kathi breaks it down room by room and area by area each day.
