Weigh In Wednesday

I have been on my health and fitness journey for 8 weeks now. WOW! I can’t believe it has been 2 months already. For those of you who are new to my blog I had my fourth child in April of this year. The day before I had him I weighed 181 pounds. I gained 52 pounds with him and I am only 5 feet 1/2 inches tall. I have just come to accept the fact that it doesn’t matter what I eat or if I work out, I am still going to gain 50 pounds. To be completely honest I am perfectly fine with that. I ate as healthy as I could 60% of the time and I worked out 3 times a week at minimum. I will say, though, that it is much easier to lose the weight with eating as healthy as possible and working out while pregnant.

Anyways, back to my weigh in. I weighed in today and I weigh 134.8 pounds. I have lost 46.2 pounds and over 20 inches since April of this year! I am so pleased with the results. I have never, I repeat NEVER, lost my baby weight this quickly. Just to put things in perspective that’s a 7.7 pound average per month.

What have I been doing you ask? I have been doing 21 day fix, 21 day fix extreme, Combat, and I have been drinking shakeology 6 days, sometimes 7 days, a week. All of these workouts are from Beachbody. I cannot tell you how I LOVE Beachbody products and their online community. I am a stay at home mom and my husband and I are trying to pay off our debt, so a gym membership is out of the question.

I have a wonderful coach who is very uplifting & encouraging. She motivates me daily. Teambeachbody.com has tons of information on nutrition, workouts, challenges, and groups. Beachbody has done a wonderful job of setting each person up for success.

Anyways, I am beyond thrilled with my post 6 month weightloss! My original goal was to get down to 129 pounds which is what I weighed before I got pregnant. I am thinking now, though, that I want to be under 120 pounds. I would really like to shred my body and get toned. I want to be healthy and fit for my kids so I can be the best mom to them. After all isn’t that what motherhood is about, being there for your children?
